Workshop 1:
Foundations of Blockchain Technology and the Cardano Ecosystem
Date: 28th May | Time: 1pm to 4pm
Objective: Build a strong foundation in blockchain concepts and introduce
Cardano's unique ecosystem.
What You'll Learn:
- Blockchain Fundamentals: Distributed Ledgers, Nodes, Consensus Mechanisms, and a look at Proof of Work vs. Proof of Stake.
- Cardano Ecosystem Overview: Scalability, Interoperability, CSL & CCL layers, and Governance.
- Real-World Applications: Case studies in identity, supply chain, and decentralized finance.
Hands-On Activities:
- Viewing and analyzing live blockchain transactions.
Outcome:
- Understand both theoretical and practical aspects of blockchain and Cardano’s ecosystem.
Workshop 2:
Blockchain Technical Basics - UTXO Model and Smart Contracts
Date: 4th June | Time: 1pm to 4pm
Objective: Understand the technical models of blockchain, wallet operations, and
an introduction to smart contracts.
What You'll Learn:
- BLOCKCHAIN FUNDAMENTALS: Grasp the concepts of public/private keys, cryptographic hashing, and UTXO vs. account-based models.
- DECENTRALIZED WALLETS: Learn to use custodial and non-custodial wallets, manage seed keys securely, and interact with Web3 platforms.
- BEST PRACTICES: Understand potential risks and how to protect assets in a decentralized ecosystem.
Hands-On Activities:
- Create wallets, transfer assets, and interact with Web3 applications.
- Experience practical wallet use cases and security measures.
Outcome:
- Master wallet operations, secure asset management, and foundational blockchain mechanics.
Workshop 3:
Building Applications on the Blockchain
Date: 11th June | Time: 1pm to 4pm
Objective: Learn to build blockchain applications using Cardano and Web2
concepts.
What You'll Learn:
- APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT: Use Cardano CLI to mint NFTs on the testnet and learn about IPFS for decentralized data storage.
- CARDANO NODE OPERATIONS: Set up and explore the workings of a Cardano node.
- BRIDGING WEB2 TO BLOCKCHAIN: Understand how to adapt familiar Web2 tools to build dApps.
Hands-On Activities:
- Mint NFTs using Cardano CLI.
- Store and retrieve data via IPFS.
- Configure and operate a Cardano node.
Outcome:
- Develop blockchain applications and gain practical experience in decentralized development tools.
Workshop 4:
Governance and Building Real-World
Date: 18th June | Time: 1pm to 4pm
Objective: Discover Cardano's governance mechanisms and create real-world
blockchain applications.
What You'll Learn:
- REAL-WORLD USE CASES: Applications in supply chain, healthcare, and financial systems.
- SMART CONTRACTS: Understand the steps to build and deploy basic smart contracts on the Cardano testnet.
- GOVERNANCE IN ACTION: Learn about Delegated Representatives (DReps), the On-Chain Constitution, and Cardano's governance processes.
- CAPSTONE PROJECTS: Consolidate your learning with peer presentations and practical blockchain solutions.
Hands-On Activities:
- Simulate proposals and voting in Cardano's governance system.
- Build and deploy a basic smart contract.
Outcome:
- Gain advanced insights into governance and showcase your learning with practical projects.

Certification Exam
